Who will be the domain owner when I register a domain name with cnobin.com? TOP

You own the domain name, just as if you had purchased it through any other ICANN accredited Registrars. In the "Domain Name Manager" section you will be able to manage all four contact fields for the domain at will, modify its name servers, or use the domain to register your own name servers. We do not charge for any of these services, giving you the freedom to do with your domain as you want, when you want.

How can I determine whether the domain name I want is available? TOP

Please use our Domain Check Tool. The powerful search engine completes a live, database look up on millions of domain names. Please check domain's availability before you start domain registration.

How long does it take for a domain to become active? TOP

Cnobin processes registrations in real-time with the registry. However, it can take anywhere from 24-48 hours for a domain name to fully propagate across the Internet and become accessible.

Can I delete a domain if I made a mistake? TOP

Yes, you have 72 Hs to delete a domain and get a credit back into your account. If you delete a domain after that, no credit can be issued. IMPORTANT NOTICE: this feature is provided as a courtesy and with the sole purpose of correcting mistakes during registration. You will be charged a fee of $1.00 for each deletion.

The domain name I want has expired according to the whois record. Why can't I register that name? TOP

The whois record "expiration date" simply indicates the current contract period for a domain name registration. Contract periods vary from one to ten years. If you fail to pay your registration fee, your domain name registration is subject to deactivation and eventual deletion from our systems under normal billing procedures and technology requirements. Many factors may cause the "expiration date" to vary from the eventual date of deletion. If you want a domain name near to be expired you will need to contact the original accredited registrar listed on the whois record to register that name.

Your company owns a domain I wish to purchase. Would you be willing to sell it? TOP

Cnobin is a registrar and does not claim ownership over the domains registered. You would need to contact the domain owner. This information can be found in our whois.

    What is domain lock? TOP

Although your domains are already securely managed, this FREE option also locks your domain name at the Registry itself providing an additional layer of protection from inadvertent changes to your domain's name servers or contact information, and changes of ownership. More importantly, Domain Name Locking prevents unauthorized transfers because the Registry will reject the transfer request immediately for you. The transfer is denied before it even gets started!

    What is the WHOIS? TOP

The WHOIS is a utility that allows people to see the contact information and owner of a domain.

Is Cnobin's WHOIS server updated real-time? TOP
